IT Manager Property Solutions
Alliance Recruitment proudly represents a well known Property Management company located in downtown Vancouver. Our client is seeking an IT Manager to take charge of the IT department.
The IT Manager, Property Solutions reports directly to the Director, Information Technology and manages the team responsible for support, maintenance as well as enhancements to and introduction of new applications required by Property Management, Property Accounting, Leasing, Development, NRES and SynchroServ. This team is also responsible for overall Enterprise Application Architecture and business process improvements related to the lines of business for which they are responsible.
Responsibilities:
• Interact with all relevant levels and positions in all regions and assigned business units to ensure that key business processes are properly supported by current systems.
• Ensure that all enhancements and all new system projects for the relevant business groups are validated, prioritized, and delivered through effective communication to all stakeholders and the appropriate use of our clients IT’s analysis and project management best practices.
• Provide technical leadership of JD Edwards for both support and project needs.
• Own and provide leadership regarding overall enterprise architecture, encompassing all business systems across all clients functional areas.
• Ensure that manual effort is kept to a minimum, redundant process and data is eliminated and that all information systems are integrated to optimize business value.
• Work with each business unit to understand the business and information requirements to assist in streamlining activities and eliminating inefficiencies through business process change as required.
• Continuously improve effective business processes within the Property Solutions team Interact and coordinate with the other IT teams to bring the appropriate technology solutions into play where appropriate.
• Ensure that support for existing systems is delivered in a proactive and service-oriented manner • Ensure that the technologies supporting the business are delivered, maintained and supported at or above the levels required by the business • Motivate, mentor and coach the Operations Solutions team members to develop existing skills and continually improve performance to reach their full potential As part of the IT management team, plan, lead, organize, control and measure as required, all elements critical to the success of IT (e.g. strategy, budgets, resources, operations and projects)
Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years related experience, with strong people
• Advanced JD Edwards technical experience/knowledge
• Technical experience relating to systems architecture planning and design
• Strong understanding of the real estate business and key business processes
• Project management skills – ability to apply practical facilitate the successful delivery of projects to the business.
• Relationship skills – Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both oral and written proven ability to develop and sustain cooperative, effective relation.
• Analytical skills – Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems
• Decision-making skills – Ability to critically analyze a situation select the most effective one in a timely and efficient manner.
• • Organizational/Multi-Tasking – Ability to allocate one’s time effectively, work under pressure and meet tight dead-lines.
