HOUSEKEEPER (Mission, BC)

Set on the shores of Stave Lake and just one hour east of Vancouver, The Zajac Ranch for Children is a forty-acre western themed camp whose main objective is to “raise the spirits†of children suffering from severe and chronic illnesses and disabilities. The Zajac Ranch for Children is open year round with the summer months being reserved for medical camp sessions. During the months of September to June the camp is available for public and private group site rentals. The revenue raised from site rentals goes to supporting the ranch and mission of “raising the spirits.â€
This part time or full time position is ideal for a person living in the Mission, Abbotsford or Maple Ridge areas.
Hours for this position will fluctuate based on camp occupancy levels.
Responsibilities
- The Housekeeper will be responsible for the overall cleanliness of the Zajac Ranch facilities, including the three lodges, dining hall, gymnasium, medical centre, and guest cabin
- Cleaning private, semi-private and dorm style guest rooms
- Doing laundry
- Cleaning bathrooms, showers and tubs, including refilling paper towel and toilet paper dispensers
- Cleaning all public spaces including sweeping, dusting, mopping, and cleaning windows
- Vacuuming dorms and washing and waxing floors in dining hall and common areas
Qualifications
- A complete and total dedication to maintaining a clean facility
- Flexible schedule required
- 2 or more years successful housekeeping experience in a hotel or camp environment
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Successful criminal record check
- Own transportation required
- The ability to work in a camp environment with focus on client and customer services is essential to success in this role
