Evening Support Person, paid hours + FREE RENT (Champlain Heights Vancouver South)

Roommate Position – ‘on contract for minimum of one year’ On the border of Burnaby, at Champlain Heights
You do not pay rent for your home and you will be paid for hours worked from 7pm ?V 10:30pm. Spacious 3 bedroom apartment.
The individual who requires support is a young intelligent woman with a sense of humor, who lives in a wheelchair assessible home in a secure & friendly Housing Co-op. She owns a friendly cat, and requires a female live-in roommate/ support person to assist with mobility, transferring, feeding, and to enjoy a ?roommate?? relationship with. You would share a home with her, and may choose to be employed elsewhere, or be a student during the hours you are not required to be at the home. You have the day time off between 7:30am, & 7pm. Location: Van South ?V Champlain Heights area, near transit, parks, and nice trails etc.
RATE OF PAY:
Contract Pay Range is $1,500. – $1,700/mo. Tax Free. This ‘Roommate Position’ is in combination with ‘hours worked’; there is payment attached for the evening shifts 7pm-10:30pm. You live RENT-FREE!
DRIVING REQUIREMENTS:
Driving of van is required for occassional evening outings. Must obtain Class 4 within 2 months.
SPECIAL TRAINING OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
No special training or experience required; natural and genuine skills in listening, patience, and genuine interest and respect for a woman who is very capable of making her own decisions, and enjoys her relationship with her parents on occassion. Training in ‘transfering’ will be provided.
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
- Start date MAY be flexible * prefer November 1st
6 EVENINGS a week 7pm – 10:30pm (paid support hours.)
6 OVERNIGHTS a week 10:30pm -7:30am (Asleep Overnight) -live rent free.
TIME OFF:
One Evening AND Overnight per week without responsibility for 24hours. You may choose to stay at home, or not – your choice!
