PAYROLL OPPORTUNITY WITH TOP CANADIAN COMPANY (BBY)

THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a permanent full time Payroll Administrator located in our Burnaby, B.C. office.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, this key role in our organization will manage and deliver on the administration of all payroll related duties for offices located across multiple provinces. The right candidate has a great can-do attitude, is flexible, solution oriented and an independent self starter.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties will include (but not limited to):
• Prepare semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll (salary and commission), ensure the timely preparation and verification of employee pay statements for over 100 employees
• Respond in a timely manner to employees on payroll matters, benefit plans, company policies and procedures
• Track vacation accruals to ensure correct vacation is paid to employees
• Administer benefits programs
• Input data for new hires, terminations, status changes and other adjustments
• Process T4’s on an annual basis
• Compile Human Resources documentation (i.e. employee packages)
• Prepare government remittances
• Delivery accurate and insightful management reports
• Special projects and implementation of HR initiatives
• Some travel may be required
KEY ATTRIBUTES
• Payroll expertise - at least 3-5 yrs of related experience
• General knowledge of HR rules and regulations
• Accounting/HR experience is always an asset
• Highly conscientious and reliable
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to prioritize and organize work load to meet strict deadlines
• Customer / stakeholder focused
• Excellent time management skills
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• You’re known for your solid interpersonal skills
• Positive, confident, and driven
• Enthusiastic team player
• Able to ensure utmost confidentiality of private employee information at all times
