Resident Building Manager

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to empathize to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to establish positive relationships with a diverse tenant population at our Stratford Gardens development in Burnaby.
You will be called upon to use your excellent interpersonal, relationship building and conflict resolution skills to manage challenging tenant conflict issues and deal effectively with seniors, persons with disabilities and tenants with complex social /health care needs and/or behavioural problems.
The Building Manager possesses and demonstrates core BC Housing competencies of personal effectiveness, communication, customer focus, teamwork and being results focused. Job specific competencies for the successful candidate include operations management and building systems management. Additionally, the candidate demonstrates leadership competencies such as integrity, the ability to be strategic; relationship building and empowering skills, and exemplifies personal excellence.
The successful candidate will be a Grade 12 graduate or equivalent, preferably with post-secondary education in the social services related field and one year’s experience as a Building Manager or equivalent. A BC driver’s licence and reliable vehicle complete the picture. The work week for this position is Tuesday to Saturday.
The successful applicant will be subject to a satisfactory criminal record check.
