Regional Maintenance Technologist
Interior Region (Penticton), BC
As a key player with the title of Regional Maintenance Technologist, you will provide a wide range of technical and administrative maintenance services in the Interior Region. This will include ensuring that all projects developed and administered by BC Housing or its Housing Provider partners are well maintained, comply with the appropriate Design and Construction Standards, including effective budget planning. Through activities such as specification reviews, site inspection and contract tendering, you will work with external consultants and internal stakeholders in the design and delivery of corrective and preventative maintenance services which may be in the areas of new development, capital improvement or building and grounds maintenance.
Your building, engineering or architectural technology program degree or diploma is combined with at least 2 years in technologist or facilities management work, with 2 years of construction contract administration and field experience that includes work with CCDC-2 contracts and experience inspecting new and existing buildings. Proficiency in the use of MS-Office applications, CAD, Construction and Project Management software round out your profile.
Frequent travel is required for this position.
