Trades III - Mechanic (City of Port Coquiltam)

The City of Port Coquitlam is currently seeking a full time temporary (approximately 3 – 4 months) Trades III Mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of municipal vehicles and heavy duty equipment at the journeyman level.
Requirements include a Journeyman Certificate as a Heavy Duty and/or Commercial Transport Mechanic supplemented by a minimum of 3 years journeyman experience; a B.C. Driver’s License with Air Endorsement accompanied by a Commercial Vehicle Inspection License; and the ability to perform a variety of skilled mechanical and automotive related tasks in the repair and maintenance of a wide variety of municipal automotive, heavy duty and firefighting equipment.
The 2010 salary for the Trades III position is $32.02 per hour. The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the CUPE Collective Agreement. Qualified individuals should forward their resumes, quoting competition #10-08C by Friday, February 26, 2010 to:
