Shipper/Receiver - Part-time (Burnaby)

TB Vets Charitable Foundation seeks an enthusiastic and personable shipper/receiver to join our organization. If you are dependable and have a strong work ethic, you may be the ideal person for this job.
As the shipper/receiver, you will provide support to all levels of the organization.
The successful candidate will be required to:
• Prepare bills of lading, invoices and other shipping documents - including Canada Post
• Track shipments
• Assist in the loading and unloading of delivery trucks
• Sort shipments and distribute product accordingly
• Operate the postage meter
• Ship and receive goods
• Ensure warehouse is clean and organized
• Assist with ordering warehouse supplies
• Help with inventory counts
• Operate and maintain the fork lift
• Lift up to 50 lbs
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
• Ability to work alone or in a team environment
• Ability to prioritize and multi task daily activities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High level of accuracy
• Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision and be self directed
• Decision making and problem solving skills
• Detail oriented and organized
The candidate should have the following:
• Solid understanding of Canada Post policies and procedures
• Computer skills in MS Office
• Certified fork lift license
• Minimum two years experience as a shipper/receiver
Founded over 60 years ago by WWII veterans, TB Vets operates the leading key return service in BC and personally produces and mails out over 350,000 keytags in our annual campaign. Donations to TB Vets provide funding for: the purchase of vital respiratory equipment in BC hospitals, research into a cure and treatments of TB and other respiratory diseases, and the training of future Respiratory Therapists.
