Express Employment Professionals is hiring for an experienced Operations Manager for a small Richmond manufacturing company which is expanding its dealer network. The ideal candidate has experience running a small to medium manufacturing plant which produces products from fabric and mechanical components.
Responsibility:
- running day to day manufacturing operations
- develop business strategies with the owner of the company who is developing business
- work with clients
- oversee a budget
- supervise a small production staff and liaise with front office
- ordering and negotiating pricing for materials
- inventory control management
- ensuring quality production
- meeting and setting goals for production based on company’s plans
Skills:
- Leadership ability
- Team work skills
- Work independently without direct supervision
- Understanding of how to develop and implement business strategies
- Thorough knowledge of company history, culture, identity and goals
- Ability to work well with owner, production and office staff
- Know how to delegate work
- Problem-solving and conflict management
As the operations manager, the general manager must understand the corporate identity of her employer. He or she then uses this information to make sure that his/her department or division fits corporate identity and meets the goals set by the owner.
Salary is $40,000 to $60,000 per year DOE.
