Volunteer Intake Coordinator, Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver
Reports to: Program Administrative Manager
Responsibilities:
• Follow up on all inquiries about volunteering and eligibility requirements for Big Brother Programs
• Data entry of application forms
• Receive and follow up on reference checks & criminal record checks
• Keep track of bi-weekly statistics
• Other administrative work as needed
Qualifications:
• Business Administration and/or Office Administration Diploma or Certificate
• Minimum 2 years office administration experience (preferably in a non-profit environment)
• Experience working with volunteers and customer service
• Detail-oriented
• Highly organized
• Excellent multi-project and time management skills
• Skilled in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and
• Experience working with a database an asset
Abilities and Personal Characteristics
• good interpersonal skills with excellent oral and written communication
• exceptional organization skills
• an understanding of the social service sector and services in Greater Vancouver
• ability to maintain confidentiality
• detailed oriented with strong time management and prioritizing skills
• You can work independently and as part of a team
• good natured and positive
• able to work efficiently and meet deadlines
Permanent, full-time (35 hours per week)
Compensation: Salary with medical/dental benefits
