Senior Accountant (Richmond)

An established fast growing Certified General Accounting firm in Richmond is hiring a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will have a solid experience, knowledge, and ability to clearly demonstrate high level of accounting responsibilities. An advantage will be given to candidates who can articulate, explain, as well as lead others.
Overall Responsibilities:
• More than 3 years of intermediate accountant experience including full responsibility for the following areas:
NTRs
Review Engagements
Audits
Forensic Audits - asset
Trust Audits
Personal Tax
Corporate Tax
• CGA, CA or CMA Designation
• Experience in supporting clients from a variety of markets and business environments: NPOs, First Nations or any other niche markets
• Proficient in all accounting and computer related software – specifically, advanced knowledge of Caseware, Caseview, Profile, Outlook (incl. excel and word), Quickbooks and Simply Accounting
• Strong time management and prioritization skills
• Excellent verbal and email communication skills
• Friendly and customer service orientation
Additional Comments:
In order to be successful, you must be committed, flexible, forward thinking, looking at the bigger picture and inherently searching for ways to improve services to clients and enhance their success. Candidate must have vast capabilities of problem solving and be able to work under minimal supervision. Previous managerial experience is required to be able to direct and coordinate staff. Must be able to multi-task, work well under high pressure and meet deadlines in a punctual manner.
This is a full time position of 37.5 hours a week, overtime as required.
