ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SUPERVISOR (Langley, BC)

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SUPERVISOR– Competition Number 10-12A
Kwantlen Polytechnic University is currently seeking applicants for a temporary full-time (approximately 6 months) Accounts Payable Supervisor in our Finance Department to commence immediately. This position is located on our Langley campus. The primary functions of this position are: overseeing the accounts payable unit, reviewing and processing invoices and purchasing card transactions, account reconciliations, handling issues with the testing of upgrades of the automated Accounts Payable system and carrying out projects related to Accounts Payable.
Minimum requirements include completion of two years of an accounting/business program at an accredited post-secondary institute and five years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of English, both written and verbal, a demonstrated working knowledge of mainframe computer accounting systems, preferably the Banner Accounts Payable system and a demonstrated ability to supervise other employees. As well, the candidate must have the proven ability to communicate courteously and effectively, and provide excellent customer service.
