Purpose:
Under the direction of the Manager, Banquet, you will ensure our guests receive the best possible customer service experience. You will meet and greet our guests with utmost courtesy and professionalism. In addition, you will ensure banquet/meeting rooms are in impeccable order before and after events.

Primary responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Ensure banquet/meeting rooms are set up according to catering contracts.
2. Liaise with the culinary staff and/or Manager, Banquet to ensure orders and changes to orders are communicated.
3. Serve buffet and a la carte menu items.
4. Maintain high level of customer service to maximize overall guest experience.
5. Monitor guest consumption of alcohol and intervene as needed according to guidelines.
6. Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager, Banquet.

Requirements:
• Minimum high school education
• Minimum 1 year server experience preferably in the hotel conference / hospitality industry
• Serving it Right Certificate
• Food Safe Certificate Level 1 an asset
• Excellent customer service skills, including demonstrated ability to be friendly, efficient and polite
• Working knowledge of cocktail preparation
• Excellent communicator – both written and verbal English
