We are currently recruiting for Plant Operators for our Vancouver Harbour Concrete Plant.
Objective:
The objective of this position is to ensure operations run efficiently and effectively, while meeting all safety and environmental standards, by performing a variety of tasks. These may include batching concrete to Lafarge's mix design specifications; overseeing and performing general maintenance on the plant and other on-site equipment; utilizing the loader to feed the plant and to maintain aggregate stockpiles; performing various aspects of yard maintenance and housekeeping; interfacing with drivers, and performing other duties as assigned to coordinate and optimize plant utilization.
Education/Certifications/Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent concrete technology experience, F/E Loader and Skid Steer Certificates, and a Class 3 License with air endorsement. Prior experience in the construction materials industry, specifically concrete batching and plant maintenance is an asset. Successful applicants will be team players who are safety focused, able to multi-task, enjoy working in a fast paced environment and are willing to do all tasks required to run the plant efficiently.
