Senior Technical Analyst (Vancouver)

Aritzia is currently looking for a Senior Technical Analyst to join our growing team. This is a newly created position and the Sr. Technical Analyst reports directly to the IT Manager and is responsible for developing, planning, implementing and maintaining the IT infrastructure environment across multiple locations running primarily Microsoft, VMware and Cisco technologies
Job Responsibilities:
INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGEMENT
In coordination with the IT Manager, develop and manage the overall IT infrastructure strategy and architecture
Manage vendor relationships
Liaise with internal staff to identify and provide solutions to meet business needs
Evaluate 3rd party products and services; provide recommendations for hardware and software solutions
Day to Day administration and support, monitoring, infrastructure management, policy development and implementation across three main locations and forty store locations.
Perform upgrades and enhancements to maintain the infrastructure hardware and software.
Define, develop and implement IT policies, procedures and best practices to meet the needs of the growing and fast paced organization.
Benchmark, analyze, report on and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and systems.

Remote Access

CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGEMENT
Customer service oriented; able to clearly communicate in a friendly manner to customers
Provide reactive Tier 3 troubleshooting
weekend and evening work may be required
Proactively resolve complex technical issues and implements sound solution
Mentor and support other members of the IT Department
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
In coordination with IT Manager, develop and manage the portfolio of infrastructure projects
Lead various sized infrastructure projects from inception to completion, managing a team of internal staff and external vendors
Utilize project management best practices for planning, budgeting and delivery of solutions
The position will evolve and additional duties and responsibilities may be added or modified as required throughout the course of employment.
Requirements:
Post secondary degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years experience in a similar role, managing enterprise-class infrastructure
MCSE or equivalent experience
Project Management experience; managing multiple projects at any given time
Experience managing multi location network environments
Key areas of expertise must include:
Microsoft architecture such as Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, Exchange, Windows Server, Terminal Server, SCCM, Sharepoint
VMWare architecture such as ESX, VCenter, VMotion and related backup and recovery
Blackberry Enterprise Server
Storage Area Networks (SAN); implementation and management
Nice to have areas of expertise include:
IBM Tivoli Storage Management architecture such as TSM, TPC, HSM, ICC-Commonstore
Packeteer or similar file caching technologies
