Programmer Analyst IV
North Vancouver, BC
Position Highlights:
Our IS Insurance Services team has an opportunity for a Programmer Analyst IV, responsible for maintaining and enhancing Insurance solutions.
Typical responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Investigation and resolution of production problems related to the Insurance portfolio of applications;
• Coding and unit testing of minor enhancements and internal improvement initiatives;
• Testing and support of infrastructure software upgrades and patches;
• Working cooperatively with other departments to provide support for Insurance applications; and
• Managing multiple concurrent tasks in an environment of changing deadlines, priorities and requirements.
Position Requirements:
• Working knowledge of PL/I, IMS, CaseGen, MQ Transaction processing, Crystal Reports. Knowledge of client server and web technologies including: C++, J2EE (Java / WebLogic)and UNIX would be an advantage;
• Knowledge of application debugging techniques and tools;
• Knowledge of quality assurance practices relating to software development; and
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks in an environment of changing deadlines, priorities and requirements.
