Web Developer/System Administrator (Maple Ridge)

GFR Pharma Ltd. is a contract manufacturer of Natural Health Products for human and animal well being, located in Maple Ridge, B.C. We are currently looking to fill the position of: Web Developer/System Administrator. This is a full time, in house position with the possibility of advancement to IT Manager for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate is well-organized with the ability to problem solve and assess our IT requirements with an eye to the future. You are able to personally execute and/or manage outsourced projects as necessary while you grow with the company. You are extremely detail-oriented with strong time management skills. Excellent communication skills are necessary as you will be interacting with Sales & Marketing Managers and Graphic Designers. Supervisory experience and management skills will be considered assets as you show us how to take our IT Department to the next level.
You will have a diploma in Web Development from a recognized institution and/or a minimum of 5 years of experience.
A working knowledge/background in System Administration is also required.
Web Developer requirements:
• Portfolio of built websites
• Ability to Manage Linux Web Servers (LAMP, SSH, FTP, phpmyadmin)
• E-commerce
• Solid knowledge of back-end programming and front-end scripting, design and layout (Javascript, AJAX, X/DHTML)
Responsibilities:
• Maintain Linux based web hosting environment, as assigned
• Design Websites/Keep Current
• Manage Linux Web Servers
• MySQL database design/programming
• PHP programming
Following experience will be an asset:
• Magento Commerce
• Flash
System Administration background:
• MS Exchange Server 2007 (implementation, deployment and management)
• Network Maintenance and Installation
• Windows 2000/2003/2008 server environment
• Terminal Services environment
• Microsoft Windows network environment
• VPN's
• Microsoft Exchange Server
• MS Office applications
• Disaster Recovery
• Comply with, document and enforce all corporate policies, departmental standards and procedures
• RPG, Database: DB2/400
• Security and Surveillance
Responsibilities:
• Manage/Maintain Exchange Server 2007
• Manage/Maintain Windows 2008 Terminal Server Environment
• Installation of new networking as required
• Manage existing VPNs
• Security and Surveillance System
• Planning, deployment, configuration and ongoing management of Custom Manufacturing program
• Front line problem identification for any system issue including:
MS Office problems
Printers
Custom Software
Hardware Failure
Remote Access
Alarm/Motion System
