Application Support Personnel (Vancouver)

GDI Software Services Inc. is a growing company that is looking for highly motivated Application Support Personnel to provide professional technical support and help desk function to local and international clients. This position offers an excellent opportunity to progress your knowledge of industry standard technologies in a strong and challenging technical environment. The position is available immediately on a full-time, ongoing basis. The ideal candidate will have the requirements listed below.
Education/Experience
- Customer Service Support (E.g. Call Centre, Technical Support, Help Desk Support, etc.) experience;
- Post secondary college education;
Responsibilities
- The applicant will be required to service domestic as well as international clients on application support issues in a call centre environment.
- The applicant will work in a team responsible for providing 24x7, 365 days application and technical support to our clients. As such, this position requires shift work flexibility.
Required Skills
- Fluency in the English and Japanese languages. Must be comfortable with technical jargon in both these languages.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills especially when conversing via VoIP or telephone.
- Working technical knowledge.
- Must have the ability to learn a new web application quickly in order to provide effective application support for it.
- Must have the ability to work effectively on multiple simultaneous tasks within a fast paced, high tech, team oriented environment.
Desirable Skills
- Should be enthusiastic, hard working and self-motivated with strong problem solving, organizational and communication skills.
