Non-Profit Full Time Retail Store Manager (F/T) (Vancouver, BC)

Habitat for Humanity Greater Vancouver (www.vancouverhabitat.bc.ca) has a full-time position available as a Store Manager at the Vancouver ReStore location.
The Habitat ReStore sells new and used donated building materials to the public and generates funds to support Habitat's local building program, while reducing the amount of used materials that are headed for overflowing landfills!
You are a proven leader with a commitment to the philosophy of Habitat for Humanity, who understands building community relationships while promoting the ReStore’s mandate. This is a hands-on position for someone with the ability to handle all aspects of running a busy store in order to exceed financial projections and maximize revenue opportunities all the while possessing an uncompromising level of business ethics and integrity. A strong work ethic, well developed communication and problem solving skills, and at least 4 years of proven management experience and undeniable flexibility, enthusiasm and energy are essential. Computer experience is important.
Reporting to the ReStore Director, you will manage staff and volunteers by providing guidance, support and training and by motivating and mentoring through example. You will promote morale by maintaining and facilitating open communication and ensure all policies and procedures are being supported and enforced.
The Store Manager must be able to lift heavy items, have a valid driver’s and forklift license. Willingness to work some Saturdays is required.
