A growing software company is currently seeking an Intermediate Systems
Administrator / Server Support Technician. LinuxMagic is ideally positioned

The successful candidate will perform server hardware and software support on
Linux and UNIX servers. Applicants must have experience working with mail,
web, file, database and application servers in a production environment. The
ideal candidate will understand all aspects of running busy Internet and
Intranet servers including networking, hardware and software issues and be
able to gather information required to debug problems with any of these.
They must also be able to deal with problems related to both Windows and
Linux client applications.
Applicants must have:
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Experience working in a support or systems administration capacity
- A thorough understanding of Linux
- Ability to write and debug complex shell scripts
- Familiarity with SQL
An ideal candidate will also be very familiar with Debian Linux, PostgreSQL,
and possess some ability to code in PHP / Perl.
This is a full time position and is available to be filled immediately.
