Compassionate Clinical Care Manager / Coordinator
at Human Resources in Vancouver
A Compassionate Clinical Care Manager / Coordinator, Long Term Care Residence.
Soul, Management, Challenge.
Our residents are some of the most interesting, spectacular people you will ever meet. Their backgrounds are diverse, they come from all over, and they are real people who have lived real lives. They have a story and if you have a minute they’d love to tell it.
Our long term care residence is home for many fabulous seniors. We, and all those who live in our care facility have become their home and in some instances we have become their family. Our long-term residents have been parents, friends, spouses and caretakers and now it’s their turn to be taken care of. They deserve the best and this is what we strive to give them.
The Care Manager DNA.
A Clinical Care Manager is a special mix of humanity, values, leadership, inspiration and business acumen. You oversee the care management of our most treasured elderly population and everything that goes with it. You manage a large staff, other supervisors, health needs, budgets, scheduling, recruiting, motivating, and retaining our dedicated nurses. You coordinate systems and procedures, manage reporting systems, meet with the executive, - this is a career building block that could take you all the way to the executive suite.
Your Contradictions
We need compassion, but values based. We want case specific solutions, yet set in principles. We want kindness but with consideration. We want hard nosed business but not at the expense of people. We want to hit our budgets, but not sacrifice services. We want you to hold people accountable, while at the same time motivating them. Dilemma? Contradiction? - Not for the right person.
Breath leadership life into our 80+ RN’s + people and several supervisors. You're it, you are their world. You lead them, schedule them, talk with them – you get them. All the resident's families are looking to your policies, your communications skills, your ability to generate trust. You will grow in this position, you will hit new levels of self.
If we choose you, this is what you will look like.
1. Education? You should be an RN or a well seasoned LPN. This is not negotiable.
2. After that you might have a BA, MA, Diplomas, - and a solid work experience.
3. At least 4-5 years experience managing and training staff. Perhaps you were a charge nurse? Preferably in environments of fifty or more people. You see this as the next level up in your career.
4. Perhaps you have 2 years experience working in long term care residences. You understand how they run, the dynamics of this special world.
5. You have overriding personal values and you don't mind bringing them to work. Stand up for what you believe and be counted.
This is a serious career position in a uniquely challenging yet stable environment.
Salary? Let's talk. It depends on who you are. We're listening. Great, competitive benefits package, huge job stability, and a career building job opportunity.
If you are an aspiring executive with values & a nursing background, make a move . . .
