We’re seeking an energetic Web Developer to work with our Vancouver based team. You will have experience working in an agile, cross functional team environment that supports web tier components of customer acquisition and customer servicing applications. Required Skills and Abilities:
• Knowledge and experience with Velocity is mandatory (1 year minimum)
• Java programming frameworks (Spring, Java, J2EE, N-tier Applications)
• Extensive CSS and Usability Interface (UI) experience
• Fluent with HTML, XHTML, JavaScript, AJAX, XML
• Experience and familiarity with source code control (CVS and subversion)
• Understanding of full software development lifecycles
• Basic understanding of SQL
• Experience with managing web and application servers (IIS, Tomcat, JBoss, etc…)
• Ability to work under pressure, with excellent attention to detail.
• Able to work within a team environment, as well as individually to ensure projects and tasks are completed on time for our weekly deployment schedule.
• React quickly to new requirements and changing business demands while using the latest technologies and trends to create functionally rich dynamic content.
Assets:
• Previous E-Commerce experience.
• Knowledge and experience with Elasticpath framework.
• An artistic eye; an understanding or concept of aesthetically pleasing web site design.
Candidates should have hyperlinks and samples of work ready for review
Breakdown of work includes:
70% Web Development (majority programming)
30% Java/J2EE Web-Tier Development (but not core Java development), CSS, JavaScript, Velocity, etc.
