Position Profile:
Contract Web Designer:
Based in Burnaby/Vancouver, the Contract Web Designer position plays an important role in helping the company to achieve its goals for continued growth.
Educational Requirements:
• Relevant university degree or college diploma
Experience Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years working experience with focus on web design and development
Skill Requirements:
• Solid understanding of website usability
• User-centered web interface design expertise
• Expert with HTML and CSS
• Expert with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash
• Advanced knowledge on JavaScript coding
• Skilled in resolving cross-browser related issues
• Solid understanding of XML, XSLT and Web Services
• Experience with CuteFTP and MS SourceSafe
• MS SQL Server database knowledge an asset
• Knowledge of .Net a plus
• Knowledge of backend coding/scripting a plus
• Strong organizational skills and highly motivated with the ability to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to function in an organized yet unstructured environment. Must work well independently, as well as part of a team
Responsibilities:
• Review and re-design our current web site
• Attend weekly IT meeting
• Other duties as assigned by the IT Manager
