We’re seeking an energetic C#/VBA Programmer to work with our Vancouver based team. You have a solid background in object oriented programming concepts and are a self-starter, accustomed to work using the development lifecycle. Required Skills and Abilities:
• Experience with development lifecycle and C# is mandatory (1 year minimum)
• Strong SQL 2000/2005 knowledge
• Understanding of XML
• Experience with Client/Server architecture
• Must be able to establish requirements for projects based on interaction with end users
• Understanding of full software development lifecycles
• Able to work under pressure, with excellent attention to detail
• Able to produce results efficiently and accurately, with or without supervision
• Able to translate business requirements to efficient code
• Positive, outgoing, optimistic personality; a team player
Assets:
• Experience with VBA/VB/VB.Net and/or Crystal Reports and/or Planet Press 6
• Understanding of Postscript
• Familiar with working with source controls
• Knowledgeable in CSS, AJAX and JavaScript
• An artistic eye for creating clean reports and graphs
Breakdown of work includes:
• Develop and support applications using MS ACCESS, VBA, C# as requested
• Support existing internal systems, often under tight time constraints
• Document all changes in accordance with established standards and procedures
• Import and configure data on a MS SQL Server database
• Create and maintain reports and report tools
