SATURDAY & MONDAY (plus maybe more) SALES CLERK NEEDED ASAP! (Powell & Commercial)

The Flag Shop needs a retail sales clerk for Mondays and Saturdays. The hours on Saturdays are 8:45am to 5:15pm and the weekday hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm.
The Saturday position is ongoing (which is ideal for students). The Monday position is for at least the summer and possibly longer. There are also two weeks in July/August where staff are going away, so there would be more weekday hours available during this time as well. And if the person is a right fit and has good administrative, phone and computer (mainly Word and Excel) skills, there could be even more hours available because we have lots of administrative projects that need completing. The Saturday and Monday shifts aren’t flexible, but the other days and hours are. For the right person, I will be happy to work around your schedule.
The main responsibilities for the retail position are: – Helping customers in the store, on the phone and by email. – Filling orders for customers, including packaging and shipping them. – Helping receive stock and putting it away. – Keeping the store clean and tidy and the shelves filled. – Helping other departments (production, corporate sales, accounting) as required. – Errands as required (a valid BC drivers license is required)
Speaking French is an asset (because we have customers in Quebec) but not mandatory. Being responsible, professional, courteous, confident and positive ARE mandatory. We have a small staff who work very well together and everyone takes their jobs seriously.
