Residential Support Worker (Poco)

St Leonard’s Youth and Family Services is looking for a candidate interested in contract work within our residential settings. Our homes support children and youth from 11 to 18 who are connected with the Ministry of Children and Family Development and have been identified as “high risk” or “at risk”. Shifts in our homes operate on a 24 hour rotation with each residence hosting not more than 2 two children/youth at a time. We are looking for a candidate who has minimally 3 years direct experience working with children/youth dealing with Mental Health issues, who has minimally a college diploma or university degree in child and youth care, who is passionate about working with children and youth, has transportation (vehicle or access too), a clean driving record, and feels confident in their ability to work with children/youth who have multi-systemic issues.
Compensation ranges from $180 to $200 depending on skill and credentials. This position also requires a current first Aid/CPR certification and a successful completion of a criminal records check.
