NxtGen Emissions Control Inc. is an emerging supplier and technology innovator in hydrocarbon fuel processing and is leveraging this technology to support clean diesel, alternative fuel use and advanced gasoline engine applications.
The Marketing Manager is responsible for executing and updating a three year marketing strategy, objectives and an annual marketing plan along with the creation of that plan by collaboration and consultation with the executive team and based on our corporate strategy. Both corporate and product marketing are envisioned in this critical position. Travel is approximately 40%.
Responsibilities:
• Leads the company in creation and update of a marketing strategy and multi year plan.
• Develops and executes an annual plan and budget with monthly reporting and budgeting.
• Publishes a public relations and marketing calendar of major events and opportunities to promote our product and liaises with the PR firm.
• Conducts market and customer research and makes recommendations for company actions. Proposed market entry strategies and keeps management current on industry trends.
• Prepares and communicates the company product value propositions compared to competition or existing customer solutions from a total life cycle or other relevant perspectives.
• Prepares and proposes strategic pricing rationale with the associated price position compared to competition for input and approval by the executive management team.
• Creates marketing press releases, collateral, presentations, technical white papers, customer success stories, website content and other materials that clearly support the agreed market objectives.
• Develops and executes co-operative marketing campaigns with partner companies as appropriate.
• Develops and manages key customer and industry information to support the company effort and maintains a central lead / client database in support of such. Maintains industry relationships where appropriate in support of the company positioning and objectives.
• Writes or supports proposals for collaborative programs, funding applications or other special projects as needed
• Carries out other related duties and projects as required.
Qualifications
• Education: BS in Marketing
• Experience: 5 years in development and execution of successful strategies and programs relationships in a hands-on capacity for a technology product.
• Mix of Product and Corporate Marketing experience in a high technology start-up environment.
• Strong oral, written and presentation skills.
• Strong project management skills.
• Ability to translate and distill technical concepts/features into crisp marketing messages, customer benefits and product offerings.
• Automotive, engine or exhaust aftertreatment Industry knowledge would be beneficial
• Engineering knowledge / education beneficial
