Operator- Plastic Manufacturing (Lower Mainland)

Our client is a large European plastics manufacturing company setting up operations in Canada. They are a dynamic, team-oriented group currently looking for an experienced Operator/Technician to run a 12 hour rotating shift (4 days on and 4 days off). Previous experience in plastics manufacturing is required- experience with Blow Moulding machines is preferred. The Operator/Technician is a fully autonomous person, who requires no regular supervision and has the responsibility to supervise material Handlers.
Duties & Responsibilities
„X Responsible for recording all the production and quality data;
„X Participation in monthly meetings to ensure Plant improvements;
„X Responsible for the bottle weight, machine efficiency, Losses, cycle time;
„X Ensure that the working area is clean as well as guarantee high standards of Personnel Hygiene;
„X Site security & Safety;
„X Keep maintained all installed equipment in a functional condition. Report any faults or safety issues to the Shift Leader or the maintenance team;
„X Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
„X Produce quantities required by our Partner in accordance with the Production Plan;
„X Keep all system information updated according to the GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICES (GMP) practices;
„X Report any quality issues related to the products to the Quality department and Shift Leader and then responsible for any process adjustments coming out of product quality issues.
„X Responsible for tool changing (moulds and necks)
„X Ensure that spare parts have been accurately recorded on SAP PM;
„X SAP QM ¡V accurate recording of samples;
„X Perform other tasks and/or additional duties within your skill and competence as and when directed, required or deemed necessary.
Requirements:
-Minimum 2 years of experience in plastics manufacturing
-Experience with plastic moulding machines
-Strong communication skills
-Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities
-Technical aptitude
