POSITION: Process Engineer
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full-time
LOCATION Burnaby BU
REPORT TO: Process Engineering Leader
DUTIES/RESPONSIBLITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Focus on key processes (SMT and TH) to facilitate smooth production ramp up of new and existing product lines.
Interface with the customer, Product Engineers, Production Associates, Process Engineers and Management to achieve the following:
Capacity
High First Pass Yields
High efficiency
Develop and implement a plan to continuously improve the product cycle time through production and the product quality by focusing on the following:
Error and defect data analysis in order to prevent errors from becoming defects
Assembly fixtures
Automation
Test fixtures
Elimination of redundant and non-value added operations
Optimizing the product flow
Proactively pursue better methods and/or new technologies in order to assist the customer in improving the product design and enabling CTI to produce a better product
cost effectively
Implementing lean manufacturing techniques.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
1 + years in a team lead/leadership role
Must have excellent communication skills, technical writing abilities, analytical skills
Strong team player while able to function independently and with minimal supervision
Must have at least three years of manufacturing experience
Preference will be given to a candidate with relevant technical training and experience associated with Process Engineering, particularly with the SMT processes.
