TECHNICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Pacific Rim Engineered Products (PREP), located in Port Kells (Surrey, BC) is an expanding developer/OEM of innovative products for 500+ horsepower powertrain applications. Our engineers, technologists and service team are dedicated to providing integrated solutions tailored to our customers’ specific needs: Application Engineering, Design, Project Management, Vibration Analysis and Repair Service.
We are looking for a Technical Sales Representative to be part of a dynamic and highly collaborative team which identifies and qualifies opportunities and ensures that all sales inquiries are addressed effectively and professionally.
Role/Responsibilities:
• Ensure customers receive best in class service
• Maintain and expand the Company’s relationship with current customers
• Negotiate pricing and contractual agreements
• Respond to customer enquiries and develop quotations
• Assist in developing and executing sales plan
• Monitor key market indices relevant to the sales growth plan
• Promote product specifications to industrial users and consulting engineers
• In collaboration with the engineering group, prepare new application presentations for clients
• Collaborate with the Business Development Manager to build on the Company’s current marketing materials and marketing strategy
• Represent the Company at trade shows and other events
Experience/Qualifications:
• 5-7 years of direct sales experience of rotating equipment to industrial markets
• Diploma or degree in manufacturing technology; ASTTBC or similar preferred
• Experience in creating marketing materials and preparation of business proposals
• Strong communication, problem solving and negotiation skills
• Proven track record of sales success
• Ability to travel internationally (approximately 20%)
• Intermediate skills in Excel, Word and Project Management software
• Hands-on experience in a technical capacity is a benefit.
