Human Resources Manager:
Hays Human Resources are urgently sourcing an exceptional HR Manager with experience in the construction industry. This position is to work with a leading construction company based in Surrey.
Reporting directly to the President, the main purpose of the position will be to provide overall strategic HR leadership to managers and employees including development and implementation of human resources policies and employee programs and services. The position will require extensive travel throughout Canada.
Specific responsibilities include:
„X Recommend and plan human resource requirements
„X Develop and administer human resource policies and procedures
„X Advise and assist managers on the interpretation and administration of human resource policies and programs
„X Provide advice and support to managers regarding employee relations, promotions, negotiation, transfers, discipline and dismissals
„X Co-ordinate internal and external recruitment and selection activities
„X Co-ordinate internal and external training activities as requested by managers
„X Manage the employee development and training programs
„X Manage the human resource databases providing training and support to Payroll/HR staff
„X Administer all salary benefit plans
„X Assist in overseeing the administration of all hourly benefit plans, providing advice and support to Payroll/HR staff
„X Coordinate labor relations and union negotiations
„X Administer salary compensation

„X Sensitivity and the ability to keep employee information confidential
„X Team Player Experience/Education
„X 7-10 years experience in a Human Resource position required
„X Bachelor degree in Human Resource Management or related field is desirable
„X CHRP is an asset
