Sentinel Receiving & Assessment Home
(For Youth 13 to 18)
Relief position for 24/48 Hour Shifts and
Support Shifts
Salary $16.60 per Hour
Qualifications and skills required:
• Degree or Diploma in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience working directly with high-risk youth populations
• Demonstrated skills in successfully stabilizing youth in crisis
• Conflict resolution and crisis-de-escalation skills
• Strong boundaries
• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
• Residential experience preferred
Subject to Criminal Record Search clearance, satisfactory drivers abstract, first aid course and medical clearance; requirement of hire. Must also have or be able to obtain within 6 months all mandatory agency training which includes class 4, food Safe, non-violent crisis intervention, diversity and policy training.
This is a BCGEU Position
