MANAGER, APPLICATIONS
You will be responsible for Application Services Application Analyst activities related to the Enterprise and Workgroup information systems and software applications used both internally and externally. Working with the Business Users, IT Management, Vendors and Industry experts where required, you will assist in identifying business systems that can move the City forward, while ensuring that those adopted provide maximum business value for the investment made. You will manage a team of skilled application analysts, following best practices and processes, for selection and implementation of commercial of the shelf software, as well as design and development of in-house applications, and application integration. You will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and upgrading existing systems and applications, ensuring they are current and fully functional.
Expertise in application development, information technology best practices, project management, and resource management; ability to facilitate multidisciplinary team; and proven communication and problem solving skills will be required for this position.
YOUR OPPORTUNITY

Experience with municipal business and information systems would be an asset. Your ability to facilitate and champion changes and communicate with relevant stakeholders at all levels will be a definite asset.
You deliver what you promise, can manage priorities and current realities while planning the future and keeping your team focused on the end results. You should be open to collaboration with relevant business units to align work with strategic plans. You have seasoned people management skills and can communicate complex ideas in a way that fosters consensus and reflects your analytical approach. A degree/diploma in a related field plus at least five years of directly related experience is a must. This position requires the completion of a Criminal Record Check.
