Part-time, 8:00am-1:30pm Permanent
Core Education & Fine Arts, Vancouver’s only prep-school, is designed for children between the ages of 2 and 5. The school offers pre-academics, art, music, physical education, etc. in an all-encompassing program. It is a school of very high reputation, and exceptional standards. Our school is famous for having a Chef preparing the healthiest meals for the children.
We are looking for someone reliable, very clean, organized and a self-starter to be responsible for planning, preparing and serving all meals.
Duties will include but are not limited to the following:
· Preparing and serving breakfast: Fresh fruits and fresh pastries (scones, muffins, cinnamon buns, banana bread, etc.)
· Preparing and serving a warm, tasty and healthy Lunch: rice, pasta, mashed potatoes, lentils, beans, tofu, vegetables, etc.
· Preparing and dividing Snack: Fresh vegetables and sandwiches, or zucchini bread, or pumpkin bread, mini pizzas or vegetable tarts, etc.
· Making and decorating birthday cakes on occasion
· Shopping for groceries on a weekly/monthly basis
· Creating the menu
· Cleaning workspace, including putting dishes in dishwasher, etc.
· Preparing hors-d’oeuvres for school’s special events
To apply you must have:
· Courses in cooking
· Experience in cooking healthy meals
· Great organizational skills and independence
· Resourcefulness and budget consciousness
· Creativity
Salary: $1,335 per month ($1,435 per month after three months)
