User Interface/Frontend Developer (Yaletown, Vancouver)

Bayleaf Software is growing again and has an immediate opening for a talented UI/Frontend Developer.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of demonstrated experience creating and programming engaging user experiences for complex web applications. As a member of our development team you will work on a number of highly detailed projects. The ability to work independently and within a team environment, excellent communications skills, strong attention to detail, and a positive attitude are essential.
“Must have” skills:
• Expert XHTML/CSS skills, with extensive knowledge of cross-browser compatibility issues;
• Expert in web-oriented JavaScript/AJAX such as jQuery, Prototype, Ext;
• Solid understanding of visual and interaction design aspects of UI development;
• Experience with usability research and testing;
• Experience working within applications programmed in various languages such as .NET, Java, PHP, ColdFusion;
• Strong English written and verbal communicational skills with an attention to detail and accuracy;
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work under tight deadlines, and work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
“Nice to have” skills:
• Experience with search engine optimization and web analytics;
• Familiarity with UI and source code frameworks;
• Familiarity with source code control systems;
Education Requirements:
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in a related field or equivalent experience;
