Traditional Ballet Instructor (Vancouver-South)

The Sunset Community Centre is currently looking for an instructor for parent and tot, preschool and children’s traditional ballet dance classes.
Responsiblies:
• design, develop and prepare a detailed curriculum for dance program
• Implement and instruct activities to participants of varying ages and experience levels
• Liaise with staff and parents
Desired Qualifications:
• Related dance teacher training (eg. Canadian Dance Standards Teachers Certification Level 1)
• RAD certification (experience with other disciplines, including Jazz, Tap, Modern, Contemporary, and Hip-Hop would be an asset, but are not required).
• Previous experience instructing ballet for children 1yrs+
• Minimum 2 years dance experience
• Experience choreographing dance routines
• Preference will be given to instructors with a Bachelors degree in music/fine arts/dance
• Clear criminal record check
Wages:
• Negotiable depending on experience and education.
Schedule:
• Program will start in September.
• Dates and times of programs are flexible depending on facility schedule.
